In coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, police elements in the city of Fes managed, in the early hours of Tuesday, June 2, to arrest two individuals in a truck on suspicion of being involved in the possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The suspects were arrested at the entrance of the city of Fes, immediately after arriving in a truck that was coming from one of the northern cities of Morocco. The search and seizure operation resulted in finding 691 kilograms of hashish in their possession.
The suspects were placed under provisional detention pending the judicial investigation overseen by the competent public prosecutor’s office. This is to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case and to identify any potential further extensions of this criminal activity.
This case falls, according to a security source, within the context of the intense and ongoing security operations carried out by the services of the National Police Directorate and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, aimed at combating drug trafficking and psychotropic substances.
