The national team of Morocco achieved a new historic accomplishment by securing the seventh position globally in the men’s world ranking issued by FIFA today.
The Atlas Lions raised their score to 1756.94 points after a significant victory over Madagascar, winning 4-0 in the African qualifying match. This allowed the Moroccan team to gain +1.07 points, enabling them to advance one position and surpass the Netherlands, which dropped to eighth place after its loss against Algeria.
This ranking is Morocco’s highest in history, surpassing the achievements of the 1986 World Cup (11th place at that time) and the 2022 World Cup (ninth place after the tournament).
