Based on accurate data provided by the General Directorate for National Territorial Surveillance, police elements in the city of Settat were able to arrest a 42-year-old father on the morning of Sunday, May 31, on suspicion of involving his minor son in physical violence.
The National Security services had reacted quickly and seriously to the content of a video and media data indicating that a minor child in the city of Ben Ahmed had been subjected to physical violence by a person believed to be his father, before they were able to identify the suspect and arrest him.
The suspected father, who has a number of prior criminal records, is currently being subjected to judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor. This aims to determine all the circumstances and details surrounding the commission of these criminal acts, as well as to provide the 9-year-old victim with the necessary health and psychological support.
