The International Football Federation “FIFA” revealed a huge demand for tickets to the match between Morocco and Brazil, scheduled for the World Cup in 2026.
The federation stated that, in general, it received five million requests for tickets to attend the World Cup matches in the first 24 hours, a level that reflects the global demand for the competition.
A statement from “FIFA” mentioned that this early demand is attributed to expected matches in the group stage, most notably the match between Colombia and Portugal in Miami on June 27, which has received the largest demand so far during the random draw period. The second most requested match is Brazil against Morocco (New York/New Jersey, June 13). Following that is the encounter between Mexico and the Republic of Korea (Guadalajara, June 18), Ecuador against Germany (New York/New Jersey, June 25), and Scotland against Brazil (Miami, June 24).
The same source continued that fans from over 200 countries and regions submitted requests through the “FIFA.com/tickets” website since the launch of the third phase of the ticket sales process.
The statement clarified that after the three host countries, Canada, Mexico, and the United States, the countries with the highest demand for tickets were Colombia, England, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Scotland, Germany, Australia, France, and Panama, noting a significant interest from fans in South America and Central America, as well as from enthusiastic Scottish fans eager to attend their first participation in the World Cup in 28 years.
The random draw phase continues until January 13 at (17:00 Central European Time), with FIFA confirming that the timing of requests during that period does not affect the chances of selection to meet demand.
