The “Atlas Hacks” group revealed on Tuesday, June 2, audio recordings and new WhatsApp conversations that sparked widespread controversy on social media in Morocco, concerning the relationship between TikToker Hicham Girando and a person nicknamed “Majd Al-Baroudi.”
According to the leaks published by the group, “Majd Al-Baroudi” impersonated an employee of the General Directorate of Studies and Documentation (DGED), known as “LADGID,” which is the Moroccan agency responsible for external intelligence and counter-espionage, and has been headed by Mohamed Yassine Mansouri since 2005.
According to the leaked conversations, “Majd” attempted to recruit Girando, excessively praising him and describing him as a “super person” with “great influence.” He also assured him that “LADGID bears him no ill will, and that it is not a party to the conflict he has recently entered.”
Majd urged Girando to abandon the people he was working with and to “prepare” to work with the agency, and if he agreed, he would arrange a meeting with a “figure” whom he believed was hostile to him.
It seems that the relationship did not succeed, and according to the leaks, communication between the two men ended.
Leaks revealed that the real name of the person in question is Mohamed Wadi, born in 1977, and that he is currently in one of the Moroccan prisons.
The leaks indicated that “Al-Baroudi,” who impersonated an intelligence agent, attempted to guide Girando and frame his work in defamation and spreading lies with a “promise” of employing him in “LADGID” in the future, a promise that Hicham welcomed.
