Morocco is expected to send forces to Gaza to maintain security.

The platform “Axios” quoted American officials stating that Morocco and Indonesia are “expected” to send troops to the Gaza Strip for security preservation, as part of the second phase of the peace process.

According to the platform , the United States has not yet announced the countries that will contribute troops to the international stabilization force, which is supposed to take responsibility for security in Gaza during the second phase of the agreement. However, American officials say that “Indonesia and Morocco are expected to be the two main contributing countries during this phase“.

This information has not been confirmed or commented on by the Moroccan side.

It should be noted that the White House announced on Wednesday, January 14, the launch of the second phase of the peace plan in Gaza. This phase includes the formation of the National Committee for Gaza Management (NCAG), which consists of 15 Palestinian experts, all from the Strip, chaired by Ali Abdel Hamid Shath, a civil engineer and former official in the Palestinian Authority (formerly Deputy Minister of Planning and Transport).

An announcement is also expected within days regarding the “Peace Council“, which is personally chaired by President Donald Trump, and invitations have been sent to several countries to join it, with an expectation of its official announcement within days. The first meeting is set to be held next week on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. Nikolai Mladenov, the former UN envoy to the Middle East, will be tasked with representing the council on the ground in Gaza to oversee disarmament and reconstruction.
