The Spanish government is preparing to announce a regularization process for thousands of migrants provided they prove their residence in Spain for five months before December 31, 2025.
A leak from media and political sources on Monday, January 26, stated that the parties forming the government have reached an agreement to regularize “half a million people,” which will enable all individuals who were in Spain before December 31, 2025, and who can prove at least five months of residence, such as registration in the municipal registry, a medical report, a utility contract, or a remittance certificate, to obtain official papers.”
It is worth noting that previous operations, numbering 6, allowed for the regularization of more than a million foreigners.
