The Tangier City Council will hold its regular session on Tuesday, February 3, where 18 topics are expected to be discussed within the agreed agenda.
According to the agenda, the council will study and approve an agreement “related to the implementation of the program for the development and equipment of the city of Tangier as it hosts the Africa Cup of Nations 2025,” despite the tournament concluding a few days prior.
Below is the agenda for the February session:
- Study and approval of public road boundaries planning.
- Study and approval of the legal status settlement for the plot of land extracted from land registry number 13084/T, located in the Al-Awwama area, with an area of 600 square meters.
- Study and approval of the expropriation of the plot of land extracted from land registry number 3.436G, with an area of 4,220 square meters, designated as a public square in the Al-Sharaf neighborhood.
- Study and approval of the acquisition of part of the real estate property with land registry number 61/22288 T, belonging to the communal collective Ashnad, for the purpose of making a real estate exchange to expand the nearby medical center in the Mars Ashnad neighborhood, according to the price determined by the administrative committee for expertise.
- Study and approval of the amendment of the Tangier City Council budget for the fiscal year 2026.
- Study and approval of the regulatory decision regarding health and environmental preservation.
- Approval of the project proposal submitted by the Tangier City Council to the National Road Safety Agency as part of the “Infrastructure Safety Operations in Local Communities.”
- Study and approval of the amendment number 2 to the delegated management contract for cleanliness and the collection of household waste and similar – Western Tangier (Area A).
- Study and approval of the amendment number 2 to the delegated management contract for cleanliness and the collection of household waste and similar – Eastern Tangier (Area B).
- Study and approval of the amendment to the supervision agreement for financing and executing studies and works for the creation and development of urban roads in the Tangier Municipality area.
- Study and approval of an agreement related to the implementation of the program for the development and equipment of the city of Tangier hosting the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in 2025.
- Study and approval of a project partnership agreement between the Tangier City Council and the Al-Shorouk Association to support the education and training center for the blind and visually impaired, to support the management of the center.
- Study and approval of the renewal of the partnership agreement between the Tangier City Council and the provincial directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Pre-School and Sports, along with the management association of the sports school of the Union Sports Club of Tangier (single activity), to grant annual financial support for the year 2026.
- Study and approval of a project partnership agreement between the Tangier City Council and King Fahd Higher School of Translation in Tangier.
- Study and approval of a partnership agreement between the Tangier City Council and the Moroccan Association of Heads of Municipalities to organize the eighth global conference of the World Organization of Local Governments United.
- Study and approval of a framework project agreement between the Tangier City Council and the Morocco Archives Foundation regarding the management of the Tangier City Council archive.
- Study and approval of the renewal of the partnership agreement between the Tangier City Council and the House of Journalism Foundation in Tangier.
- Study of the request from the Béni Makada district concerning the establishment and equipment of cemeteries within the territory of the Béni Makada district.
