The security services arrested individuals from a gang known as “Sakona” near a private clinic in Tangier, following the visit of a patient who had been involved in a traffic accident.
The gang members are wanted due to their involvement on October 15, 2025 in violent acts in the Souwani area of Tangier, where they were seen roaming with bladed weapons and attacking a house, in addition to their involvement in a traffic accident on the August 20 ring road.
Before the incident that sparked significant controversy due to the spread of a video documenting their actions, the gang members were involved in assaulting and targeting some citizens in the same area.
Visiting a Patient
According to available information, some individuals associated with this gang went to a private clinic near the TGV station on Monday, to visit one of the patients. The security services, as soon as they received information about their presence, went to the scene and arrested at least two individuals.
During the operation, a vehicle that had previously been used in violent acts was seized.
