The General Directorate of National Security has enhanced its presence in the city of Ksar al-Kabir, in light of the exceptional circumstances that the city is experiencing after being flooded due to heavy rains.
In addition to the local security presence, the arrival of many security personnel was noted on Saturday, January 31, as part of reinforcing security and contributing to assisting residents as well as maintaining order.
The National Security Directorate had confirmed on Friday that all its units and operational services are mobilized alongside other public forces to ensure security and public order in Ksar al-Kabir. They are intensively engaged to implement strict security protocols to ensure the firm application of the law against any attempts to undermine the safety of people and property.
This confirmation came in a swift reaction to a circulating video that claimed shops were exposed to theft; the security authorities denied this news after verifying the matter by consulting the owners of the shops that were alleged to have been looted.
