A man born in 1983 raped his ex-wife in the city of Tangier after claiming he wanted to see his children.
The woman “G” states that her ex-husband “S.A” broke into the house using violence and attacked her while she was in the kitchen, where he raped her and then assaulted her, breaking household items, in front of their children.
The Tangier court sentenced the accused to 3 years in prison and required him to pay compensation amounting to 40,000 dirhams, despite the victim demanding compensation of at least 100,000 dirhams.
It is worth noting that the man denied the woman’s allegations and claimed that he entered the house normally to see his children, and that he and his ex-wife engaged in sexual relations with her consent without violence or assault.
