King Mohammed VI stated that the Africa Cup organized by Morocco achieved a historic success that was recognized and praised worldwide.
In a statement from the royal palace, the king expressed commendations to millions of Moroccans, women, men, and children, for supporting their national team, which now ranks eighth in the global standings.
“This outstanding result is particularly the fruit of a deliberate, high-ambition policy at the sporting level and in terms of infrastructure, as well as the choice arising from the deep-rooted national spirit of talented Moroccans from around the world who proudly wear the national team jersey and defend its colors with pride and honor,” said King Mohammed VI.
The king affirmed that this edition will remain a significant milestone in the history of continental competition, as it, besides its excellent sporting results, allowed for measuring the qualitative leap the kingdom has achieved on the path of development and progress, thanks to a long-term vision and a unique and effective Moroccan model that places the citizen at the heart of all aspirations.
