King Mohammed VI stated that the Africa Cup held in Morocco was marred by unfortunate events during the last minutes of the final match of the tournament, which brought together the Moroccan and Senegalese teams.
The king noted that during these moments, shameful incidents and behaviors were recorded, but he emphasized that once the intensity of emotions and feelings diminishes, the bonds of African brotherhood will naturally prevail.
King Mohammed VI considered that Morocco’s success is also a success for all of Africa. Morocco will remain proud to have hosted a month of popular joy and sporting enthusiasm on its land, contributing to the shining image of Africa and football on the continent.
