A New Deadline for Registration in the Election Lists… Is Your Name Still There or Has It Been Removed?

Interior Minister Abdel Wahid Lafiti stated in a press release that citizens who are not yet registered in the general election lists, who meet the required legal conditions, and who are at least 18 solar years old or will reach this age by March 31, 2026, must submit their registration applications during the period from January 18 to 24 of this year. This can be done at the offices of the local administrative authority near their place of residence or directly via the website www.listeselectorales.ma.

The minister reminded citizens registered in the general electoral lists of the legal option available to them to verify that they are still registered in the mentioned lists. This can be done either by sending a short text message to the free number 2727 or by accessing the official website for the general electoral lists.

Additionally, any person whose name has been illegally removed from the electoral list has the right to file a complaint on this matter with the relevant administrative committee. This must be done during the period from January 18 to 24 of this year.

The Interior Minister’s statement concluded that new registration applications and complaints to the administrative committees will be reviewed, and necessary decisions will be made regarding them. This will take place during meetings to be held for this purpose between February 10 and 14, 2026.
