The Directorate explained, in a warning bulletin of vigilance level “Red,” that snowfall is expected (starting from altitudes of 1800 meters), with amounts ranging between 50 and 80 cm, in the provinces and regions of Al-Haouz, Wazir, Khénifra, Midelt, and Azilal, starting from today, Tuesday, at 10 AM until tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12 PM.
The same source added, in a warning bulletin of vigilance level “Orange,” that the same phenomenon is expected (starting from 1400 meters), with amounts of 25 to 50 cm, in Ifrane, Chichaoua, Beni Mellal, Taroudant, Tinghir, Al-Haouz, Ouarzazate, Khénifra, Midelt, and Azilal, and from 10 to 30 cm in Sefrou, Al-Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Jerada, Taza, and Boulemane, from today, Tuesday, at 10 AM until tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12 PM.
The Directorate also expected occasional thunderous rain showers locally accompanied by hail, with amounts ranging from 40 to 50 mm in the provinces and regions of Azilal, Chefchaouen, Wizan, and Al-Haouz, and from 30 to 40 mm in Tangier-Assilah, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Rabat, Youssoufia, Beni Mellal, Fqih Ben Salah, Meknes, Al-Hajeb, Ifrane, Khénifra, Fez, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Tetouan, Mdiq-Fnideq, and Qalat Sraghna, as well as Marrakech, Kenitra, Sidi Qasim, Sidi Slimane, Chichaoua, Al-Rahamna, Casablanca, Mediouna, Sidi Ben Nour, Sale, Temara-Skhirat, and El Jadida, today, Tuesday, from 10 AM to 11 PM.
It is expected that the same phenomenon (from 35 to 45 mm) will affect the provinces and regions of Benslimane, Khouribga, Settat, Berrechid, and Khemisset, starting from today, Tuesday, at 10 AM until tomorrow, Wednesday, at 9 AM, with amounts ranging between 35 and 50 mm in Taza, Berkane, Driouch, Nador, Oujda-Angad, Jerada, Taourirt, Al-Hoceima, and Jerada, from tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12 PM until after Thursday at 9 AM.
Strong gusts of wind (from 75 to 85 km/h) are also expected in the provinces and regions of Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Zagora, Tata, Sidi Ifni, Al-Haouz, Guelmim, Taza, Tiznit, Azilal, Midelt, Yulman, Jerada, Tinghir, and Taourirt, from today, Tuesday, at 10 AM until tomorrow, Wednesday, at 6 AM.
