New Warning Bulletin: Heavy Rainfall in Tangier and Several Moroccan Cities Starting Monday Evening

The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that heavy snowfall and locally thunderstorm showers, as well as anticipated strong wind gusts, are expected from this Monday until Wednesday after tomorrow in several regions of the kingdom.

The Directorate clarified, in an orange vigilance alert bulletin, that snowfall is expected (starting from 1400 meters) ranging from 50 to 80 cm in the provinces of Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, and Azilal, and from 30 to 50 cm in Ifrane, Chichawa, Beni Mellal, Khénifra, Midelt, Taroudant, and Tinghir, and from 10 to 30 cm in Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Jerfif, Taza, and Boulemane, starting from midnight tomorrow, Tuesday, until Wednesday after tomorrow at noon.

The same source added that locally heavy thunderstorm showers are also expected, ranging from 45 to 65 mm in the provinces of Taounate, Al Hoceima, Wazan, Chefchaouen, Khénifra, Ifrane, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Al Haouz, and Taza, and from 35 to 45 mm in Mohammedia, Sefrou, Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Fqih Ben Salah, Khmisat, Qalaat Saraghna, Settat, Khouribga, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Qasim, Berrechid, Benslimane, Kenitra, Mediouna, Casablanca, Rabat, Nouaseur, Temara-Elghazirat, Salé, Tangier-Assilah, Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Mdiq-Fnideq, Tetouan, El Hajeb, and Meknes, from this Monday at 8 PM until tomorrow, Tuesday, at 3 PM.

Strong wind gusts (from 75 to 85 km/h) are also expected in the provinces of Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Zagora, Tata, Sidi Ifni, Al Haouz, Guelmim, Tiznit, Azilal, Midelt, Boulemane, Jerfif, Tinghir, and Taourirt, from tomorrow, Tuesday, at 6 AM until Wednesday after tomorrow at 6 AM.
