The regional health group of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima announced the opening of an investigation regarding a fire that broke out at the Al-Razi Psychiatric Hospital in Tetouan.
The group stated that the incident involved one of the internal units of the hospital, and it did not result in any human losses or physical harm to the hospital’s residents; the medical, nursing, and administrative teams worked to evacuate the hospitalized patients and protect them from the fire until the civil protection personnel and local authorities intervened to contain and extinguish the fire.
The management of the regional health group stated that the fire did not affect the normal operation of the hospital’s medical services, and that they will conduct an investigation to ascertain the circumstances of the incident.
