Residents of several neighborhoods in the city of Tangier have recently been experiencing sudden and recurring interruptions of drinking water. In most of these cases, the residents remain unaware of the reasons for these interruptions and do not know when the water flow will return.
On Wednesday, November 19, residents in the Ksnaya area suffered from a cutoff of drinking water without prior warning, from ten in the morning until around midnight. One of the affected individuals stated that this was not the first time that water had been cut off without notification or a clear reason such as construction or similar activities.
In the vicinity of the Grand Stadium of Tangier, residents of some neighborhoods last Friday (such as the “Ahla” neighborhood) suffered from a complete interruption of drinking water, which lasted for several hours from the time of the Dhuhr prayer until evening.
Like the residents of Ksnaya and other areas, the inhabitants of the Ahla neighborhood did not receive any warnings informing them of a planned interruption of drinking water.
