Explosive Devices: ISIS Loyalists Conduct Experiments in the Mountains of Tetouan!

The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations has reported that individuals affiliated with the Islamic State conducted experiments in the mountainous region near Tetouan to develop explosive devices.

This information was revealed following the dismantling of a cell comprising four members in Tetouan and Chefchaouen on the morning of Wednesday, July 3.

Investigations and field observations highlighted the dangerous nature of the terrorist projects planned by this group, which align with the destructive agenda of ISIS aimed at destabilizing the kingdom. The suspects had begun preparations for the physical execution of their terrorist project by conducting field tests in a mountainous area of Tetouan for the purpose of manufacturing explosives.

### Suspects Aged 20 to 27

The bureau apprehended the four extremists, whose ages range from 20 to 27. Search operations conducted at the homes of the suspects resulted in the seizure of a document containing an allegiance text declared by the members of this cell to a self-proclaimed emir of the Islamic State, along with a video recording of this allegiance, a flag associated with the organization, black attire inscribed with extremist content, and models of weapons, including a scoped rifle and two pistols. Additionally, a collection of electronic materials is being subjected to necessary digital analysis.

The investigations also revealed that the suspects documented their pledge to the current self-proclaimed emir of ISIS via a manuscript and video in hopes of obtaining the organization’s endorsement for their terrorist plans.

The four arrested individuals are currently under police custody to facilitate further inquiry under the supervision of the public prosecutor responsible for terrorism cases, aiming to uncover all potential terrorist projects and connections related to this cell.
