Due to the turbidity of the water at the Ras el-Ma spring caused by heavy rainfall, the specialized company will resort to cutting off the water supply in the city of Chefchaouen starting from the evening of Thursday, January 29.
According to the regional multi-service company, “some neighborhoods may experience temporary disruptions in the supply of drinking water, due to the notable increase in the turbidity level of the water at the Ras el-Ma spring, which necessitated the urgent implementation of special and appropriate technical measures to ensure the quality of the distributed water and to comply with the applicable health standards.”
