The Moroccan embassy in Madrid announced that a Moroccan citizen lost her life in a collision between two high-speed trains in the Adamuz area, in the province of Córdoba, Spain.
The same source clarified in a statement that the victim, a woman residing in Madrid, was on one of the trains involved in this disaster, which resulted in 45 fatalities.
The accident occurred on Sunday around 19:45, following a collision between two high-speed trains that were traveling on parallel tracks in opposite directions, carrying about 500 passengers.
According to the latest detailed toll announced by the forensic institute on Wednesday (which does not include the last two bodies found on Thursday), 28 bodies were found in the “Renfe” train, six bodies on the railway track, six other bodies inside the “Eryo” train, and three bodies “between the two trains.”
