U.S. Ambassador to Morocco Takes Oath Before J.D. Vance

The new American ambassador to Morocco, Duke Buchanan, took the oath before the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, to officially begin his new duties in serving the “excellent” relations that have bound Rabat and Washington for 250 years.

The American embassy in Rabat mentioned in a post on the “X” platform, accompanied by a photo of Buchanan taking the oath before JD Vance during a special ceremony, that “Ambassador Buchanan is proud to take the oath before his dear friend, the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance. The ambassador looks forward to continuing to enhance our excellent relations that have spanned 250 years with Morocco.”

The U.S. Senate had approved the appointment of Mr. Duke Buchanan as the ambassador of the United States to Morocco last October.

It is worth mentioning that President Donald Trump had announced the appointment of Mr. Buchanan last March, affirming that the new American ambassador to Morocco “will play an important role at a time when we are fostering peace, freedom, and prosperity for our two countries.”
