Israel Defense Forces issued a statement, which included a statement in Arabic distributed by Avichay Adraee, stating, “On the occasion of the five-year anniversary of the Abraham Accords: Israel and Morocco deepen their joint security cooperation. The third meeting of the Israeli-Moroccan Joint Military Committee (JMC) was held in Tel Aviv under the supervision of the Planning Directorate and the Foreign Relations Directorate of the Israel Defense Forces, concluding this week (Friday) with the signing of the joint action plan for 2026.”
The same source stated, “Last week, professional working meetings took place, alongside visits to various units in the Israel Defense Forces and security industries and the relevant authority. The visit culminated in a special strategic discussion addressing capacity building from a strategic perspective and the mutual goals of cooperation between the two armies.”
The army stated that this visit is considered another important milestone in deepening security cooperation between Israel and Morocco, which is among the most prominent and important partners in maintaining stability and security in the region, and comes on the occasion of the five-year anniversary of the resumption of relations within the framework of the Abraham Accords.
