The General Mutual Fund for Public Administration Employees announced an increase in the reimbursement rates for a number of basic and important services, prominently including medications, medical examinations, and some dental alternatives, starting from January 1, 2026.
A statement from the General Mutual Fund for Public Administration Employees mentioned that its members and their dependents will benefit from the increase in the reimbursement rate for ordinary reimbursable medications not related to chronic and costly diseases, from 16 percent to 20 percent, bringing the total reimbursement, after adding the mandatory health insurance contribution, to 90 percent of the public price of the medication.
The same source added that an additional reimbursement of 10 dirhams has been allocated for each medical examination with doctors in the public and private sectors, whether related to ordinary illness files or chronic and costly diseases, as well as dental treatments, which will contribute to improving the recovery rate of expenses associated with these services.
The mutual fund highlighted that a special additional reimbursement was also established for crowns made of ceramic-ceramic at a flat rate of 360 dirhams for each tooth, bringing the total reimbursement (mandatory health insurance + complementary insurance) to 2360 dirhams.
According to the statement, this represents a “real achievement” for the members, contributing to enabling them to continue benefiting from treatments and reducing the remaining expenses on their part.
The General Mutual Fund for Public Administration Employees indicated that these new gains fall within the framework of implementing the decisions of the Administrative Council and executing strategic programs aimed at enhancing the performance of the complementary mutual sector and developing the work of healthcare and social institutions affiliated with the General Mutual Fund, thereby enshrining the principles of solidarity and social mutual support.
