Video of the Removal of the Algerian Flag Involves Minors Before the Judiciary

The public prosecutor at the criminal court in Casablanca reported on Wednesday, December 31, that two minors are being prosecuted for their involvement in the incident of removing the Algerian flag from a public street and documenting it in a video that was circulated on social media.

In a statement from the public prosecutor’s office, it was mentioned that “the public prosecutor at the criminal court in Ain Sebaa referred two minors to the juvenile judge. This was following their filming of a video documenting a third individual who was with them and was removing the flag of one of the countries participating in the Africa Cup, which was fixed at one of the roundabouts on the public street.”

The statement indicated that the juvenile judge is set to take the legally prescribed measures regarding the three detainees.
