It was stated by the General Directorate for National Security that it is currently working with the National Airport Office on implementing the electronic gate system E-Gate.
The directorate reported during its presentation of the results for the year 2025 that this system will initially be adopted at Marrakech Menara Airport as a model site, in preparation for its expansion to include various air crossing points, in addition to starting the implementation of the “Master Plan 2030” at different main airports, and participating in the national airport management plan aimed at improving existing air infrastructures and planning for expansion operations and establishing new regional air corridors.
It should be noted that security has enhanced human resources at border centers in the cities hosting continental sports competitions with more than 100 new police employees, who were selected to strengthen the specialized teams in border monitoring. These employees underwent practical field training aimed at developing their skills and improving their capabilities in inspection and security monitoring fields.
Additionally, the services and provincial teams of sports security have been supported, especially in the cities of Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir, Fes, and Tangier, with the necessary human resources, while 3,387 police officers who graduated this year have been appointed to work in the security leaderships that will ensure the security of the African Football Cup matches.
