A police officer working as a security guard in Rabat was found dead with gunshot wounds from his service weapon, which caused his death. There is suspicion that he may have taken his own life due to online transactions.
The regional police commission in the city of Tamsna, on the outskirts of Rabat, has opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office on Tuesday, December 2nd, to uncover all the circumstances, details, and motives behind the incident.
Field inspections and ballistic analyses revealed that the individual in question was found inside his family’s home in the Al-Nour neighborhood of Tamsna, with gunshot wounds from his service weapon. He was transferred to the local hospital in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries.
The judicial investigation currently being conducted by the police in Tamsna is ongoing, ordered by the competent public prosecutor’s office, to determine the motives and background of this incident, especially given the initial data indicating that the individual may have faced financial troubles due to losses in online transactions.
