The provincial police judicial service in the city of Tetouan opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, following an attempt by an individual to smuggle 12 kg of cocaine.
Joint border monitoring procedures between the national security services and customs enabled the seizure of a vehicle registered abroad, driven by a Moroccan citizen, where the search process uncovered this large shipment of cocaine intended for smuggling into Moroccan territory.
The suspect, who is 30 years old, has been subjected to judicial investigation procedures aimed at uncovering all potential extensions of this case, as well as mapping its connections to international drug trafficking networks and psychotropic substances, in addition to apprehending all those involved in this criminal activity.
