🔥Death of the Educational Inspector Safaa Ziyani.. A Call for Protest and a Demand for an Investigation to Identify Responsibility

The National Union of Educational Inspectors in Morocco called for a protest on Sunday, November 30, holding the Ministry of Education responsible for the death of educational inspector Safaa Ziyani from the Larache Directorate.

According to the union, Ziyani and her colleague, Shada Sargini Leklili, were involved in a traffic accident while performing their professional duties on Monday, November 24, 2025, as they were returning in an official car belonging to the regional directorate in Larache, which resulted in Ziyani’s death and Sargini’s injuries.

The National Office of the National Union of Educational Inspectors in Morocco considered the accident a result of the ongoing negligence in maintaining the fleet of official cars, and the disregard for the lives of educational and inspection staff.

The National Office held the officials in the Ministry and the Regional Academy for Education and Training in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region and the Larache regional directorate responsible for this tragic incident due to their gross negligence in updating the fleet of official cars, the insufficient number of cars provided, and the neglect in their regular maintenance, which endangers the lives of inspectors and weakens the quality of their field performance;

It also called for an urgent and comprehensive investigation to uncover the circumstances of the accident, determine responsibilities, hold accountable all those negligent, and take necessary measures to ensure that such tragedies do not recur;
