The neighborhood of Khandaq Al-Ward in the Al-Aouama area of the city of Tangier witnessed, during the past week, the theft of a house belonging to an elderly woman by a person believed to be a professional burglar.
In a contact with “Tangier7”, residents of the mentioned neighborhood said that the suspect tends to choose houses that he has previously surveyed. He then breaks into them using a set of keys that enable him to open various doors. They noted that he often carries out his thefts in the early morning hours.
These residents confirmed that the suspect is a stranger to the area and has been seen multiple times wandering through the alleys, the last of which was on Friday, November 21, around eight in the morning near the “Ward Al-Aouama” pharmacy.
These residents emphasized the necessity of taking precautions and not leaving house doors unsecured without locks from the inside. Especially since reports have been made of similar thefts in other neighborhoods in the city, according to their claims. It is believed that the same suspect is behind them, and his images are being circulated on some social media pages as a form of warning.
