Channel 12 reported that Morocco will allow Israeli citizens to enter its territory by air starting Thursday, November 13.
The channel noted that Morocco will be the first Muslim country to permit air travel to its territory since the onset of the conflict. Israeli airlines can now resume ticket sales and provide direct flights to Marrakech and Casablanca after a two-year hiatus.
This development follows discussions between Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev and her Moroccan counterpart, with approval obtained from both the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority and its Moroccan counterpart.
According to the same source, following the cessation of hostilities, communication between transportation and security services in both countries has resumed, and discussions on operationalizing direct flights, which were highly sought after in the past, have taken place.
