The General Directorate of Meteorology has forecasted rain in Tangier on Saturday, November 15, due to continued cloudy weather. Partly cloudy conditions are expected in the northern and central Atlantic plains.
The forecast also indicates somewhat strong wind gusts in Tangier, the northern and central plains, and the Rif region.
Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 3 to 10 degrees in the Atlas mountains, the Rif, and locally in the eastern high plateaus, while they will range from 17 to 23 degrees in the desert regions and Souss. Temperatures across the rest of the country will be between 11 and 16 degrees, with some daytime increases anticipated.
The Mediterranean Sea is expected to be calm to slightly choppy while it will be rough to very rough in the Strait of Gibraltar, and very rough north of Cape Sim. It may become locally strong to very strong north of Mahdia, and rough to very rough between Cape Sim and Tan-Tan. The sea will be slightly choppy to rough south of Tan-Tan.
The General Directorate of Meteorology issued an orange alert warning of locally strong wind gusts accompanied by sandstorms, as well as thunderous rain showers with local stormy winds in various regions of the country.
