The House of Representatives voted today, Friday, to approve the Finance Bill No. 50.25 for the fiscal year 2026, with a majority in a public session.
The bill received support from 165 members, while 55 opposed it, without any abstentions. This follows the same approval for the second part of the Finance Bill.
The Finance and Economic Development Committee received a total of 350 proposed amendments to the bill, of which 328 were in the first part and 22 in the second part. A total of 30 amendments in the first part were accepted.
The amendments were distributed as follows: 2 from the government, 23 from the ruling coalition parties, 73 from the Socialist Group–Federal Opposition, 46 from the Movement Group, 37 from the Progress and Socialism Group, 117 from the Justice and Development parliamentary group, and 30 from MP Fatima Tamani.
