The House of Representatives approved, with a majority vote in a public session held today, Friday, the Finance Bill No. 50.25 for the fiscal year 2026.
The bill received support from 165 deputies, while 55 opposed it, with no deputies abstaining from voting. This reflects the same format adopted by the House for the second part of the Finance Bill earlier.
The Finance and Economic Development Committee received a total of 350 amendments to the bill, including 328 in the first part and 22 in the second part. Of these, 30 amendments were accepted in the first part.
The amendments were distributed as follows: two from the government, 23 from the majority groups, 73 from the Socialist Group – Federal Opposition, 46 from the Movement Group, 37 from Progress and Socialism, 117 from the Justice and Development parliamentary group, and 30 amendments from Deputy Fatima Tameeni.
