A section of a road adjacent to a residential construction site in the Al Haliyah neighborhood of Tangier collapsed on the evening of Friday, November 14.
According to available information, the nearby excavation works, carried out using heavy machinery, weakened the soil, leading to the road’s collapse amidst recent rainfall. This incident has obstructed citizens from using the road.
Despite the hours that have passed since the incident, the area has not been cordoned off, raising concerns about the potential for further collapses that could pose risks to motorists and local residents.
