Nine people were killed and six others sustained serious injuries in a traffic accident that occurred on Saturday evening, October 4, in the Sidi Kassem region. The incident took place on provincial road No. 4042, near Douar Cooperative Al-Hosh One, in the municipality of Shbana.
Local authorities reported that the accident resulted from a collision between a truck and a large vehicle carrying 15 people, including the driver.
Upon notification of the accident, royal gendarmerie and civil protection services arrived at the scene to take necessary measures. The injured were transported to the Sidi Kassem regional hospital, while the bodies of the victims were placed in the morgue of the same facility.
The local authorities indicated that an investigation has been initiated by the royal gendarmerie, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, to determine the circumstances and details of the incident.
