Starlink, a satellite communications company owned by Elon Musk and part of SpaceX, announced a service disruption on its website today, Monday.
In a message published on its site, the company stated that “Starlink is currently experiencing a service interruption, and our team is investigating the matter,” without providing further details.
According to Downdetector, a website that tracks outages, more than 43,000 users in the United States were affected by the disruption as of 04:35 GMT.
Starlink provides internet services through a network of satellites in low Earth orbit, primarily serving remote areas and conflict zones worldwide.
