Alert Bulletin: Heatwave Continues in Morocco with Temperatures Ranging from 39 to 46 Degrees

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a weather alert forecasting a heat wave, with temperatures expected to rise from Wednesday to Saturday. Additionally, strong thunderstorms accompanied by local hail and gusty winds are anticipated tomorrow, affecting several regions across the country.

In an orange vigilance alert, the directorate predicts temperatures ranging from 43 to 46 degrees Celsius from Wednesday to Saturday in the provinces of Tata, Zagora, Assa-Zag, Smara, Boujdour, Oued Eddahab, and Ourzazate.

Temperatures between 42 and 44 degrees Celsius are expected from Wednesday to Friday in the provinces of Wazzan, Sidi Qasim, Sidi Slimane, Meknes, Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Khemisset, Khouribga, Beni Mellal, Fqih Ben Salah, Settat, Rehamna, Qalaat Sraghna, Marrakech, and Taroudant.

Furthermore, temperatures between 39 and 42 degrees Celsius are anticipated from Wednesday to Friday in the provinces of Sefrou, El Hajeb, Khénifra, Azilal, Al Haouz, Tan-Tan, and Guelmim.

On another note, the directorate has issued an orange vigilance alert indicating strong thunderstorms with local hail and gusty winds expected tomorrow. Rainfall is forecasted between 2 PM and 8 PM, particularly affecting the provinces of El Hajeb, Ifrane, Boulemane, Sefrou, Midelt, and Khemisset with rainfall amounts between 15 to 25 mm.

Additionally, rainfall of 20 to 30 mm is anticipated in the province of Ourzazate tomorrow from 4 PM until midnight.
