More than 300 flights have been canceled in several cities in northwest Italy due to a technical failure in data transmission at the air traffic control center in Milan.
According to the Italian news agency, the incident occurred around 9 PM on Saturday, June 28, leading to either cancellations or significant restrictions on takeoffs and landings at affected airports, including those in Milan, Bergamo, Genoa, and Turin.
Technicians are currently working to restore air traffic operations.
The air traffic control center in Milan is one of four regional control centers operated by ENAV, which provides air navigation services in Italy.
