Upon instructions from King Mohammed VI, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid received members of the national football team, which reached the final match of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The reception took place on Monday, January 19, at the guest palace in the capital, Rabat. On this occasion, Fawzi Lakjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Coach Walid Regragui, and members of the national team came to greet Prince Moulay Rachid, before taking a commemorative photo.
This reception reflects, according to a statement on the subject, the special attention that the king has consistently given to youth and his support for their development through sports. As well as the particular care the king gives to this sector in general and football in particular.
King Mohammed VI had sent a congratulatory message to the national team members, immediately after the end of the final match against the Senegalese team. In which he affirmed that through this distinguished journey during the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco, the Atlas Lions have proven that perseverance, seriousness, and team spirit are the means to achieve accomplishments.
