In strange statements after his team’s elimination from the Africa Cup, Hossam Hassan, the Pharaohs’ coach, accused the audience at the Tangier stadium of being envious of Egypt, due to the majority supporting the Senegalese team.
Hossam Hassan considered that the crowd supporting Senegal was only driven by envy of Egypt, “the mother of Arabs and the owner of seven titles and the true lion of Africa,” as he expressed during a press conference.
The coach, who had spoke just hours earlier about a wonderful organization, now, after the elimination, considered that the Egyptian national team was treated unfairly, due to not having enough rest and being transferred from Agadir to Tangier, in addition to the referees’ treatment of them in today’s match.
