The Algerian Football Federation issued a statement today, Monday, expressing its condemnation of the refereeing decisions in the last match of the “Greens” national team in the Africa Cup of Nations currently taking place in Morocco, noting that these decisions raised questions and caused widespread dissatisfaction.
The text of the statement confirmed that these decisions affected the credibility of African refereeing, and they do not serve the image of African football on the international level.
It also added that the Algerian federation communicated with the Confederation of African Football and the International Football Federation by submitting an official complaint accompanied by a request to open an investigation, in order to clarify what happened and take appropriate measures in accordance with the applicable regulations.
It is worth mentioning that the “Desert Warriors” team exited the Morocco 2025 “CAN” tournament after losing in the quarter-finals against the Nigerian team with a score of 0-2.
