Unveiling the Official Ball for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco: What Are Its Features?

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with global sports brand PUMA, has announced the official ball for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco 2025, named “ITRI.”

The new ball draws inspiration from traditional Moroccan zellij art, characterized by its intricate geometric patterns, symbolizing unity and passion for African football.

The name “ITRI” refers to the star on the Moroccan flag, reflecting the country’s identity and the craftsmanship associated with zellij.

The ball features geometric patterns resembling stars and floral designs, along with circular symmetry, representing ambition, celebration, and unity among the 24 participating nations in the tournament.

Its red and green colors are inspired by Morocco’s national colors, while the “flow of motion” design embodies the spirit of creativity and African football rhythm.

Technically, the ball is produced using PUMA’s Orbita 6 technology, merging heritage with innovation for high performance, ensuring accuracy and reliability in professional play.

ITRI will make its debut during the opening match of the tournament on December 21, 2025. PUMA has confirmed the ball will be priced at approximately €130 in select African and international markets.
