The local judicial police in Agadir opened a judicial investigation on Friday, November 7, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, regarding the criminal actions attributed to a police inspector in the city of Ouled Taima. This comes after he was caught red-handed accepting a bribe from a party involved in an administrative case.
The police officer has been placed in custody as part of the investigation to clarify all circumstances surrounding the case. Investigative procedures are ongoing to determine if another police officer may have participated in the alleged criminal acts.
The General Directorate of National Security has issued a decision for the temporary suspension of the implicated police inspector, pending the conclusion of the ongoing judicial process regarding allegations of extortion and solicitation of bribes.
