The Foreign Exchange Office reported that phosphates and their derivatives exports reached 74.65 billion dirhams in the first nine months of 2025, marking a growth of 19.2% compared to the same period last year.
According to the office, this performance is attributed to a 49% increase in phosphate sales, a 17.9% increase in phosphoric acid, and a 16.3% rise in both natural and chemical fertilizers.
In the aviation sector, exports improved by 6.1% to over 20.81 billion dirhams, benefiting from a rise in sales of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) (+8.4%) and assembly (+5.1%).
Meanwhile, the agriculture and food industries sector reached 64.86 billion dirhams in exports (+3.4%), supported by a 10.7% growth in agriculture, forestry, and fishing.
Conversely, the Foreign Exchange Office’s report showed declines in exports in the automotive, textiles and leather, and electronics and electricity sectors, with decreases of 2.7%, 4.1%, and 7.5% respectively.
