Thieves in the city of Ouled Taima, Taroudant, Morocco, on Monday, September 15, threw money into the street, creating chaos as they attempted to escape after their theft was discovered.
Video footage circulated widely shows money being thrown from a building, with numerous individuals, including children, women, and the elderly, rushing to collect it.
It was later revealed that the money was stolen. The thieves had broken into a house, trying to steal an estimated 60 to 70 million centimes, but upon being discovered, they fled to the roof and began throwing some of the money down.
The plan was to create confusion and distract the homeowners, allowing the thieves to escape.
