Mustafa Aziz Unveils a Major Conspiracy Led by the ‘Second Man’ to Entangle Moroccans in Sin

In a significant development, Dr. Mustafa Aziz, founder and president of the Morocco of Tomorrow movement, released a video statement revealing details of a major conspiracy involving a criminal network allegedly led by a figure believed to be the second-in-command of Morocco’s intelligence agency, DGED.

In his statement issued on Tuesday, July 1, Aziz claimed to have fallen victim to this fraud scheme, identifying an individual named Mehdi Hijawi as the orchestrator who ensnared him, his son, and various Moroccan and foreign citizens in plots against the Moroccan state.

Aziz has made several statements in recent weeks criticizing state officials and institutions, holding them responsible for his son Abdelhadi Aziz’s two-year prison sentence related to involvement in an alleged gang linked to one of Hijawi’s media arms, Hicham Girando.

Following claims that he and his son were victims of a vendetta directed by certain state figures, Aziz delivered unexpected revelations, stating that they were victims of a “major conspiracy” and that he had received shocking information about its details.

### Allegations of Intelligence Involvement

According to Aziz, he was misled by an individual he alleges is the second-in-command of Morocco’s external intelligence. This person established an intricate network employing sophisticated deceit techniques, including impersonating King Mohammed VI’s advisor, Fouad Ali El Himma. The network allegedly utilized forged voice messages through technical applications to deceive victims into believing in fictitious official projects.

Aziz indicated that he only uncovered the scam thanks to investigations carried out by Moroccan security services, which revealed the involvement of figures such as Mehdi Hijawi, who claimed to be a senior member of the DGED, and Hicham Girando. This criminal network did not only target Aziz but ensnared many Moroccan and foreign citizens, using the names of prominent state figures to lend legitimacy to their operations.

### Public Apology and Gratitude to Security Forces

In a noteworthy gesture, Mustafa Aziz expressed his deep gratitude to Abdel Latif Hammouchi, the director general of the national police, praising the effectiveness and professionalism of the security forces in uncovering the network’s activities. He also issued a public apology to Mohamed Yassine Mansouri, head of the DGED, clarifying that his previous statements in an earlier video were the result of misinformation propagated by this network.

### Commitment to National Interests

Aziz affirmed that the Morocco of Tomorrow movement remains committed to defending Morocco’s interests and combating unrest, emphasizing that the movement has not been involved in any illicit activities that the criminal network attempted to associate it with. He stated, “Our movement is deeply nationalistic, and no member has been proven to have participated in this conspiracy.” He reiterated his and his family’s dedication to the motto of “God, the homeland, the king,” asserting that they will remain devoted to this principle.
