The President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, stated today, Thursday in Salé, that Morocco, along with Spain and Portugal, will become the center of attention for the world after the end of the 2026 World Cup,
Lekjaa, on the sidelines of the federation meeting, called for adopting a collective thinking approach and joint work to ensure the success of this global tournament, clarifying that Morocco, alongside Portugal and Spain, will be of interest to the International Football Federation (FIFA) immediately after the end of the current World Cup edition, which necessitates early preparation, continuous work, and precise coordination to accompany various stages of preparation.
He confirmed, in this context, that the organization of the 2030 World Cup will be overseen by the Morocco 2030 Foundation in partnership with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, ensuring the preservation of the cooperation bridge between the two institutions and enhancing coordination between them, which serves to succeed in this great national project.
Lekjaa also urged the national leagues to develop their working methods and to elevate their performance levels, in line with the demands of the upcoming phase, contributing to the success of organizing this global sporting event, and enhancing the radiance of national football at both the continental and international levels, emphasizing the necessity of moving from a role of observation and monitoring to active participation and working to achieve the goals set for 2030 and beyond.
