The public prosecutor’s office in Tangier opened an investigation regarding the circulation of fabricated videos about the floods in the city of Ksar al-Kabir.
This decision came after monitoring the circulation of videos on social media, which misleadingly claim that there were significant damages to property due to the large amount of rain that the city of Ksar al-Kabir experienced.
Preliminary data indicated that these videos do not reflect reality, and it has been shown that they were created using artificial intelligence techniques in an attempt to mislead public opinion and spread false information.
