The Villarreal Club announced that the Moroccan international winger Ilyas Akhomach has been loaned to Rayo Vallecano until the end of the season, based on an agreement between the two clubs.
Before completing this deal, Villarreal extended the player’s contract for an additional season, thus tying him to the club until June 2028, according to what the Spanish club stated in an official statement.
Akhomach, who joined Villarreal in the summer of 2023, will wear the Rayo Vallecano shirt until the end of the 2025-2026 season, as part of a loan that does not include a purchase option, according to the same source.
For its part, Rayo Vallecano confirmed through its social media accounts the signing of the 21-year-old player.
This transfer comes in the context of the gradual return of the Moroccan international to competitive action, after a long absence from the fields due to a knee injury that sidelined him for several months.
